Dave Maynard became a Navy SEAL in 1972 and completed his last deployment in 2012.  In those years he has completed upwards of 30 combat deployments, toured many countries, and trained with every high speed group and government agency.  He is considered one of the leading authorities in the world on gunfighting, and the lead authority on Low Light Training.

• Former US Navy SEAL - Seal Team 1

• Master Training Specialist who deployed 25 times to Iraq, Afghanistan and Lebanon between 2003 and 2011

• Hundreds of hours training students including GRS Contractors, Navy Coast Guard, Military Sea-lift Command, and Marine Corps personal live fire, team movement, and low light CQB

• Dave has been developing and teaching CQB for military and contractors overseas for many years.

• Developed the original Surefire Institute curriculum.
